WILLINGTON ROAD PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT (Last Updated 13/7/16)
The Parish Council has received a further planning application for changes to that already approved for 100 dwellings on land at Willington Road. The application relates to approval of access, appearance, landscaping layout and scale reserved matters together with the substitution of housetypes to plots 10, 11, 19, 21, 31, 33, 80, 85, 86 and 95 and reposition of plots 18, 21-30, 32, 78, 79 and 81.

The Parish Council has just received notification of the planning application dealing with the last outstanding reserved matter relating to Willington Road Phase 1 – the landscaping. We have today received details of the planning application for the approval of reserved matters (except landscaping) on land subject to outline permission 9/2013/1040 for 100 dwellings, public open space, drainage and associated works on land at SK 2731 3037 Willington Road following revisions to the site layout and housetypes. As this is a re-consultation there is a 10 DAY window for making comments so all comments must be with SDDC by 27th March. It is important that you confirm whether or not any previously expressed views still stand and that a reply is sent within the specified period.

At it’s meeting on 27th October SDDC Planning Committee approved an outline application for up to 100 dwellings on land on Willington Road. This means that there will be a total of up to 200 dwellings on this area of land. Details of conditions of approval will not be available on the SDDC website until the legal 106 agreement has been signed and this may take some time. A further application containing details of the site can be expected. and we will publicise this when it becomes available.

The Parish Council has been informed that an outline planning application has been made to South Derbyshire District Council for Phase 2 of the development of land at Willington Road. The planning application for the second phase is for up to 99 dwellings and is currently being validated by the District Council.
Outline planning permission has been granted (all matters reserved) for development of up to 100 dwellings, public open space, drainage and associated works at land at SK 2731 3037, Willington Road, Etwall. The planning application for 100 dwellings on Willington Road has been approved in outline by South Derbyshire District Council’s Planning Committee but it has not yet been issued as the legal agreement relating to 106 monies has still to be signed. Once this has been signed the outline planning approval will be issued and the developer can then apply for detailed planning permission. The detailed planning permission will show exactly where the houses are to be sited on the plot, the style of the houses, screening, etc. There will be an opportunity to make comments to South Derbyshire District Council on the detailed planning application but as yet there is no timescale for this.
