Traffic Concerns β Egginton Road Junction (The Nook / Grove Park)

Etwall Parish Council recently received further concerns from residents regarding visibility and vehicle speeds at the junction of The Nook and Grove Park with Egginton Road.
This matter has been raised previously, and the Council has contacted Derbyshire County Council Highways and County Councillor Martyn Ford to request a review of the current speed limit and an assessment of visibility splay requirements at this location.

Upcoming Road Repairs in Etwall as Part of County-Wide Improvements

Etwall Parish Council notes that the following information was published in a recent article by the Derby Telegraph:

Derbyshire County Council will begin repair and improvement works on 57 roads across the county (excluding Derby city) as part of its annual surface dressing programme. The Β£3.6 million scheme will be delivered over a three-week period, due to end on Monday, July 14.
Roads in Etwall included in the programme:

Derby Road, from the A516 Etwall to Etwall Brook, Hilton

Hilton Road, from Etwall Brook to Egginton Road
Please note that specific dates for the works in Etwall have not yet been announced.
The Parish Council will provide updates if we receive further information before the works are carried out

Draft Neighbourhood Plan for Etwall Parish: Public Consultation

Prior to submission to South Derbyshire District Council of the Draft Neighbourhood Plan for Etwall Parish (2024-2041), we are publicising the Plan and conducting the Pre-submission Consultation in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Section 14. The Pre-submission Draft was ratified at the Parish Council meeting on 7 April 2025.
We are now inviting members of the Local Community, including those who live, work, or have businesses here, and Statutory Consultees, to study and offer comments on this draft Plan. By making a full response to the qualifying body, Etwall Parish Council, you will be helping us to complete the Consultation Process and move forward with the development of the Neighbourhood Plan for Etwall Parish (2024-2041), which we hope will be of benefit to the Parish in future years.
